Christopher McKay

Managing Director

Christopher’s professional career started in 1990 in the hospitality industry at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast. He then worked in other 5 star Restaurants and Hotels on the Gold Coast, before accepting an offer to work at sea with the world famous Cunard Line in 2001, on MS Caronia out of Southampton in England.

Over the next 10 years, working on various Cunard Line ships, he traveled the world making the iconic Queen Mary 2 his floating home.

Christopher was invited in 2005, to be part of the build team of Queen Victoria, living and working in Venice Italy for 6 months.

As a testament of his professionalism and hard work, Christopher was select to represent Australia in the naming ceremony of Queen Victoria with then future King Charles.

 

Christopher returned to Australia in 2011, to take up a position as Restaurant & Bars Manager at Marriott Hotel Surfers Paradise.

In 2015 he joined Jardine Pacific Aust PTY LTD concentrating on Naval Ground Transport, and expanded Jardine Pacific into Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin, Cairns & Townsville, whilst continuing with Sydney.

Ground transport teams were created using retired police association members, and retired members of the Australian armed forces.

All transportation drivers are fully trained & accredited and are accessible at a moments notice.

 

When Covid 19 hit, and with no visiting Naval Ships to service, Christopher took the opportunity to further his knowledge and experience by joining Australia’s largest Limousine company as Queensland Operations Supervisor, in charge of all Domestic and International Airlines flight crew transport that this company managed.

 

With Christopher now being Director of Jardine Pacific, he has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the transportation business and looks forward to continuing the legacy of his father Reg McKay.

Paul Wynne

NSW Supervisor

Paul was a member of NSW Police for 32 years where he undertook many roles in a number of different sections including:-

  • Criminal Intelligence Analyst with State Intelligence Branch

  • Director of Intelligence Courses in Goulburn Police Academy 

  • District Anti Theft Squad

  • District Gaming and Betting 

  • Weapons & Officer Survival Instructor

  • District Training & Education Officer

 

Since retiring he has been on the State Committee of Management for NSW  Retired & Former Police Association where he currently holds the position of State President. From this role he has helped bring a number of members to work as drivers for Jardine Pacific providing a very knowledgeable and friendly roster to support the needs of visiting naval vessels officer's transport requirements while in shore.

Paul also serves on several other other community committees and organisations in NSW.

Phil O'Reilly

WA Supervisor

Phil is a retired WA Police Officer with a career spanning 27 years in areas of general duties and the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). Phil started out as a Covert officer before advancing to Senior Detective in the Child Abuse Unit and other suburban CIB offices.

 

He then went on to become the as State Chief Investigator of the WA Racing and Wagering Industry. Currently Phil is the Director of Q Investigation Services, conducting private investigations in Perth.

Phil is also involved as an Indigenous Business Consultant sourcing employment and business opportunities for Aboriginal families in the Pilbara region.

Phil has a sporting interest in Australian Rules Football following a successful career as a WAFL and AFL Field Umpire in the 80's and 90's.

Peter Stewart

IT Support

Peter is a more recent logistics addition to Jardine Pacific but has worked with the Directors above for a number of years in the background of the company. As IT support he is charged with ensuring that the technology being applied is current and reliable. He is also used as an advisor to the company on new directions and opportunities that IT can provide to ensure that the services they provide are the very best possible and meet the needs of their clients.

Peter has a background in education and in particular Technology Education, having worked in public and private schools in SA and QLD, as well as lecturing in IT at Bond University for 10 years. Following his lecturing stint at Bond University, Peter took on technical IT roles within Bond as Web Manager, and at Tourism Queensland and Conference Online as a Data Manager and Web Developer. He was responsible for the development of websites, their supporting databases and their ongoing SEO, as well as the maintenance and backup of data and sites.

During his years at Bond he had a number of consultancies with private companies designing and building their websites from organising their domains through to managing the SEO, and connections to banking systems and data.

 

Peter first met Chris and Reg in his role as an Australian Football umpire in QLD and is still a big supporter of Jardine Pacific's sponsorship of sporting communities.

Reg McKay

Founding Director (Retired)

Reg is the immediate past Director and Inaugural Owner/Director of this extremely professional family company having retired at the end of 2022. In fitting a family business he handed over the reins to his son Chris who had been working in the business with him for many years as the Assistant.

Reg started his commercial life as construction buyer and tender evaluator with Kaiser Engineers and constructions of Oakland California from 1968-1972. Contracted buyer with Trans Australian Airlines (Airframe) and Ford Motor Company (Electrical Systems) 1972-1974.

 

With a vast knowledge of world-wide manufacturing, Reg entered private enterprise in Australia and Singapore in the textile industry. Over the next 40 years, the family company diversified its interests to include festive lighting, ceramics, fruit puree production, wholesaling and tourism.

Currently handling Maritime ground transport which is operated Australia-wide servicing visiting naval war and supply ships. As well as being the former president of multiple sports clubs and a former chairman of both Queensland Country Australian Football League and Sydney Hire Car Association, the family business continues to sponsor nominated sporting bodies.

Reg has been very successful not only commercially but community wise because of his personal drive to ensure the safety and care of everyone he deals with which is proven by the number of various national and international clients that Jardine Pacific (his latest venture) has dealt with successfully and over a number of years and activities.
